Dr. Imbriglia is Chairman of the Board of the Hand & UpperEx Center and is the most senior staff member. After graduating from Hahnemann Medical College in 1970, he completed his Orthopaedic Residency and Hand Fellowship training at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City in 1976.

Since 2001, he has been Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine where he also serves as the Director of the Hand and Upper Extremity Fellowship Program. From 1983 to 2000, Dr. Imbriglia was the Director of the Hand Fellowship Program at Allegheny General Hospital.

In 1993, Dr. Imbriglia served as the Associate Editor of the Journal of Hand Surgery.  In 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 he was voted one of the "Top Docs in Pittsburgh" in Pittsburgh Magazine. He has been listed several times in the issues of Best Doctors in America.  He presently serves on the Board for The Children's Institute in Pittsburgh where he previously held the position of Chairman of the Board from 2007 to 2011.
